On 28th September 2024, PCER, Chembur, organized a session on mobile addiction for first and second-year B.Ed. students, led by Rotarian Mr. Murli Sundrani, Rotary Club, a Life & Happiness Coach from Thane. The session explored the psychological, social, and technological factors contributing to mobile addiction, emphasizing its negative effects on relationships, academics, and mental and physical health. Mr. Sundrani highlighted the role of educators as role models in managing mobile usage and encouraged students to consider life without mobile phones, focusing on real-world connections. He also discussed the risks related to artificial intelligence and data security. Practical strategies for managing mobile addiction were shared, helping participants develop healthier tech habits and raising awareness about the importance of balanced technology use.
