Alumni Meet was scheduled on 15th March, 2018 at Chembur Campus. Registration is from 3.00 – 3.30 p.m. followed by a Cultural Programme and Convocation Ceremony.
The Alumni Association of PCER Chembur invited all alumni to interact with the NAAC Peer team during the the Alumni Meet.

PCER Chembur celebrated its Annual Alumni Meet 2016 on Saturday, the 22nd October, 2016 from 2:00 pm to 4:30 pm. It was followed by Diwali Celebrations.
PCER Chembur celebrated the Annual Alumni Meet on a grand scale this year to mark its silver anniversary year. The college decided to felicitate all those who have been associated with the college since its time of inception.
The event started with the Chief Guest, Dr. K. M. Vasudevan Pillai and the Guests of honour who were the previous year’s toppers, along with Dr. Sunita Wadikar lighting the lamp. On behalf of PCER Chembur, Dr. Sunita Wadikar congratulated Dr. K. M. Vasudevan Pillai on the successful completion of 25 years of Maharashtra’s first private B.Ed. college. A cake was cut to mark this momentous occasion.
Thereafter, on behalf of PCER Chembur, we felicitated our Principal,
Dr. Wadikar for the successful completion of 25 years with PCER Chembur. Dr. Pillai addressed the students and conferred the certificates to last year’s achievers.

PCER Chembur’s achievement for this year included two of our staff awarded their doctoral degree. Dr. Wadikar felicitated Dr. Sneha Raikar and Dr. Samita Shetty.
In July this year, PCER Chembur had started the new academic year with a two day ICSSR sponsored National seminar. On the alumni meet, the Seminar proceedings were released.
The alumni then participated in the ICBN Centre sponsored Expert Talk and then the alumni spoke to the students and also participated in games.
Like every year, PCER throws open its doors to its Alumni who are invited for a special interaction with the faculty and the present batch of students. This year too, on the 30th October, PCER invited all its alumni to gather for a special meet. This is the day, traditionally, the achievers of the previous batch are felicitated.
This year too, the achievers of last year were specially invited and honoured. They were requested to share their thoughts and feelings with the current students in order to inspire them to achieve their dreams. The currents batch of students put up plays and skits to entertain their guests. The evening ended with all joining in the Diwali celebrations.
Annual Alumni Meet for the batch of 2012-13
Pillai-ites have a long association with their college and it is rightly said ‘Once a Pillai-ite, always a Pillai-ite.’ This year, on the last working day before the college closes for the Diwali vacations, PCER-Chembur invited its last year’s students for its annual alumni meet. On Wednesday, the 30th October, 2013, last year’s students came back to their alma mater to celebrate their memories and to share their experiences. This is the day when the achievers are felicitated and they interact with the current batch and encourage them with what to expect in the year ahead. The following students of the Batch of 2012-13 were felicitated as achievers:

- Ms. Surraiya Siddiqui for jointly achieving the 2nd position at the college level in the B.Ed. University exams

- Ms. Ruplekha Chatterjee for achieving the 3rd position at the college level in the B.Ed. University exams
- Ms. Jaya Gupta for jointly achieving the 4th position at the college level in the B.Ed. University exams
- Ms. Biju Nair for jointly achieving the 4th position at the college level in the B.Ed. University exams
The felicitation ceremony was followed by the achievers addressing the students and sharing their experiences in college as well as at the work place. The alumni interaction was followed by Diwali celebrations.
The Annual Alumni Meet 2011 was held on Saturday, the 22nd October, 2011. There is no doubt that the students of PCER are the strength on which the institute is built. On leaving the portals of PCER, they test their teaching skills in the real world. The annual Alumni Meet provides a platform for the alumni to come back to their alma mater and share their experiences with the current batch of students.
On this occasion, the achievers of the previous academic year were felicitated. This year too, Ms. Gyana Jenisha Nadar, Ms. Arpita Bhide and Ms. Pooja Sharma, who had all scored distinction marks and stood first, second and third in the college respectively, were felicitated for their performance. Congratulations to all our achievers!
On this occasion, the ICBN Centre organized a talk by one of our alumnus Ms. Munmun Nandi, to give a talk on ‘How can B.Ed. Students adapt their teaching for the International Curricula?’
The students of the extension programme presented a play on female infanticide. This helped highlight current social issues and sensitise student-teachers towards the same. In order to lighten the mood, the current batch of students put up a spirited dance performance which was appreciated by all. The programme ended with light refreshments, and promises to meet again the following year.

The Alumni Meet 2010-11 was held on the 30th October, 2010.
The program was conducted by the Tutorial Group of Asst. Prof. Nelli Asha Latha, Roll Numbers (181-200).
The Chief Guest for the program was Ms. Vinita Desai who secured the First Position at the University Examination at the college level in the Academic Year 2009-10.
The Guests-of-Honor for the program were Ms. Ekta Bhatnagar, Ms. Radika Padmanabhan and Ms. Devaki Prabhu. Ms. Ekta Bhatnagar and Ms. Radika Padmanabhan secured the Second Position and Ms. Devaki Prabhu stood the Third position at the University Examination at the college level in the Academic Year 2009-10.
A total of 33 Alumni attended the Alumni Meet.
The program started with the lighting of the lamp by the Principal Dr. Sunita Wadikar, Management Representative Ms. Geeta Menon, Chief Guest and the Guests-of-Honor.
Prayer song was presented by the students of the B.Ed. It was followed by Welcome Speech given by A-Division General Secretary, Fr. Victor. Our Principal Dr. Sunita Wadikar also welcomed the Alumni formally. She also applauded and appreciated the academic achievers who were also the special invitees for the program. To encourage the current batch of the B.Ed. , the principal talked about the hard work put in by the academic achievers. At this time she also appreciated the dedication and the right attitude with which the students worked in the year 2001-10.
The chief Guest and the Guests-of–Honor were felicitated with a certificate and a copy of the book written by Dr. K. M. Vasudevan Pillai, CEO and Secretary, Mahatma Education Society.
After the felicitation, the Guests-of-Honor Ms. Ekta Bhatnagar and Ms. Radhika Padmanabhan shared their experiences at PCER. All the alumni present also were given an open invitation to share their experiences at PCER. All of them agreed that Pillai’s College of Education and Research, Chembur is the Best College in terms of the quality of the faculty of B.Ed. and the depth at which the subjects were taught. They agreed that all the activities conducted by PCER helped them to become a skillful and well equipped teacher. Also the activities helped them to carry an environmentally friendly attitude and also realized the importance of inculcating values not only in the minds of the students they are teaching but also in themselves first. They thanked the Principal Dr. Sunita Wadikar and all the teacher educators for their unceasing efforts in shaping them into good teachers.
At the Alumni Meet the students of the Extension Work presented a skit on the topic ‘Violence Against Women’. The skit was beautifully presented with a strong message in it. Students also prepared posters depicting violence against women and also messages encouraging women to take a stand in fighting against the injustice done to women.
A short cultural program on ‘DIWALI’ was presented by the Tutorial Group of Prof. Brijbala Suri, Roll Numbers (1-21). The students presented dances, songs and speeches pertaining to the significance of DIWALI.
The program ended with vote of thanks presented by B-Division General Secretary, Ms. Ruchita Tank.
The program ended with the National Anthem.
The Alumni was overwhelmed meeting their old friends and recollecting their good experiences at PCER. The Alumni had a nice time dancing with each other and with the teacher educators at the Alumni Meet 2010-11.
