MES’s Pillai College of Education and Research, Chembur, invited the inmates of the Vaduz Ashram, Panvel, a home for girls in need, which is wholly dedicated to providing a loving and caring environment to the girl child facing challenges to Dr. K. M. Vasudevan Pillai Campus, New Panvel to celebrate the community service day on 27th January, 2024 (12:00 to 4:45 p.m.) to engage the kids in various fun activities.
The faculty members and the F.Y. B.Ed. student volunteers engaged the children in various joyous activities. The kids were greeted with origami bookmarks and chocolates. The students learned more about the ashram through caretakers, and the well-mannered kids enjoyed lunch with volunteers. Activities included music, dance, passing the parcel and creative endeavours like origami and colouring. Prizes were awarded to game winners, and the team presented return gifts and stationary to all the inmates of the Vaduz Ashram. The four-hour interaction left both students and children happy, reinforcing the value of contributing to social responsibility. Blessy, a grateful child, expressed heartfelt thanks for the memorable and happy time spent together.
