On 5th December, 2024, PCER, Chembur, organized an expert talk on World AIDS Day with the theme “Take the Right Path: My Health, My Right.” Ms. Savita Kurade, Senior Program Manager at Prince Aly Khan Hospital, led the session. She discussed HIV/AIDS transmission, prevention, stigma, and treatment, highlighting that most cases in India occur in people aged 15–49 due to limited awareness. Ms. Kurade explained the stages of infection, the importance of early diagnosis, and the availability of free testing and treatment through government programs. The session ended with a Q&A, leaving participants informed and empowered to spread awareness.
