2019-20

  • Appointed as the Member of Board of Studies in Education, University of Mumbai.
  • Dr. Reni Francis, Principal of Pillai College of Education and Research along with 8 alumni of the B.Ed. college presented their book ‘Decoding SDGs in Classroom’ to the Honourable Minister for Higher and Technical Education (Govt. of Maharashtra) Shri. Vinod Tawde today. Another book ‘Language Enhancement’ co-authored by Dr. Reni and Ms. Jaya was also presented to the Minister.
  • He interacted with the team of teachers and students and discussed the book contents and its impact in schools. Tawde Sir also discussed with the teachers recent topics such as Aarey, Tax policies, Carbon Footprint, Gender audit.

2018-19

  • Successfully completed a Five days Faculty Development Programme on Nai- Talim organized by Thane Sub-campus, University of Mumbai and MGNCER(MHRD), Hyderabad.
  • Received the Best Paper Presentation at Vaze College of Arts, Science and Commerce, titled ARISE – Institutional Best Practice on 23rd January, 2019.

  • Received I2OR – Academic Leadership Award 2017 by the International Institute of Organised Research.
  • Selected as the Member of Selection Panel for Maharashtra International Education Board (MIEB) by the Maharashtra Academic Authority (State of Maharashtra).
  • Recognized as a Ph.D. guide (Education) by the University of Mumbai (2017).
  • Was appointed as the Committee member for the Choice Based Credit Grading System 2017-2019.
  • Was also the convenor for Management in Education, Ability Based Course – Art and Drama in Education, Commerce Method, Contemporary India and Education, Knowledge and Curriculum.
  • Kerala in Mumbai a monthly magazine covered an article on Dr. Reni Francis as “Innovative Educationist” in June 2017.
  • Successfully completed RUSA sponsored Refresher Course under UGC Human Resource Development at the Academic Staff College, University of Mumbai from 1st – 22nd August, 2017 with a grade ‘A’.

  • Dr. Reni Francis was awarded the Senior Woman Educator and Scholar Award in the field of Education and Research by the National Foundation for Entrepreneurship Development during the Women’s Day Awards 2017.
  • Dr. Reni Francis was appointed as a Member of S.Y. B.A. (Education) and T.Y. B.A. (Education) Syllabus Revision Semester 3, 4, 5, 6 in Indian Education System, Education for Women and Challenges in Indian Education System.
  • Dr. Reni Francis was awarded with the Brainfeed “Acahrya Devo Bhava – 2016” on the occassion of Teachers’ Day Celebration.
  • Received the “Most Promising Alumnus Award” at K. J. Somaiya College of Education, Training and Research, Vidyavihar.
  • Dr. Reni Francis successfully completed her M.Com. from Madurai Kamraj University.
