International Translation Day was observed by PCER on 30th September, 2024 to raise awareness about the importance of languages and the need for translation. The students enthusiastically participated in a digital activity through Wakelet. The activity consisted of translating stories or folk tales from their mother tongue to English and posting it on the digital wall of Wakelet. They were also encouraged to read the stories uploaded by their peers. The students posted stories from a wide variety of mother tongues such as Marathi, Telugu, Kannada, Urdu, Gujarati depicting the rich diversity of Indian linguistic communities.
