International Seminar on “Promoting Research for Quality Education” was held on 12th October, 2017 at St. Teresa’s Institute of Education, Santacruz, Mumbai.

PCER Chembur organized an International Seminar on “Promoting Research for Quality Education” in collaboration with St. Teresa’s Institute of Education, Santacruz. Dr. Sr. Tanuja Waghmare, Principal, STIE welcomed and thanked the dignitaries. Dr. Sunita Wadikar expressed her pleasure in collaborating with St. Teresa Institute of Education for the international Seminar. Dr. Cerena D’ Cunha, Dr. Mary Varghese and Dr Reni Francis were the coordinators of the Seminar.

The Scholarly Research Journal for Interdisciplinary Studies – an international Peer Reviewed journal, was released by Sr. Wilma Mendes during the inaugural session. The key note speaker, Mr. Chetan Shah, CEO, Raiscient, Australia made a virtual presentation and highlighted on the ‘International Research Needs and its implications in Enhancing quality of Education’. ‘Dr. Tara Korti, Faculty, Research and Development, TISS, spoke on Ethical Issues and Practices in Research Practice’.

Education for Global Peace and Sustainable development ‘Digital / ICT Tools for Research Practice’ was addressed by Mr. Santosh Hulagabali, Librarian, Nagindas Khandwala College. A demonstration on ‘Plagiarism and Plagiarism Software’s’ was given by Mr. Sarthak Dangayach, Turnit Education India Pvt. Ltd. The valedictory session was graced by Dr. Sunita Magre, Head of Department, Education, University o Mumbai and Ms Andrea Sinnott from UK.

The seminar witnessed over 50 paper presentations and 73 publications in the peer reviewed journal released on the occasion.
