Mahatma Education Society’s Pillai College of Education and Research, Chembur celebrated ‘The International Day of Mathematics (IDM)’ on 14th March, 2020 on this year’s theme ‘Mathematics is everywhere’ by organizing an expert talk by Mr. Gyanendra Pratap Singh, HOD of Department of Mathematics of Dr. Pillai Global Academy, New Panvel.
He highlighted the importance of mathematics in our everyday life like how Mathematics help plan and manage economic and social systems, GPS systems, mathematical models etc. He also briefly described the history and origin of the p (Pi). The session was very informative and B.Ed. students requested to have such more sessions on Mathematics in near future.
