On 21st September 2024, Stree Mukti Sanghatana (SMS), a renowned non-governmental organization (NGO) dedicated to empowering women and promoting environmental sustainability, conducted an insightful session on waste management for the B.Ed students of MES Pillai College, Chembur. This session aimed to raise awareness about the importance of sustainable waste management practices and educate future educators on incorporating these practices into their teaching and daily lives. The guest speaker for this session was Ms. Sindhu Iyer, a business analyst who has done her M.Sc. and has been a part of Stree Mukti Sanghatana for several years. She spoke about waste management and how to dispose of waste in an eco-friendly way.
